The step by step

First make sketches to find the correct pattern, then draw this scale drawing on your graph paper.

Make your stencil.

In plastic cups, prepare your colors, mixing the shades or using them as is.

Put your stencil in place and maintain it with thin adhesive tape.

Effectively protect other parts of your soil.

Paint your design. Leave to dry for a few minutes before removing the stencil.

Turn it over on a sheet of cardboard and wipe off the traces of paint. Repeat on the other side to find a clean, dry stencil. Continue your decor.

The Pro Council

If all the patterns can find their place on the floor of a room, some are more suited to this or that type of surface. Thus, in a large square or rectangular room, it can be clever, to visually reduce the surface, to create a pattern on the periphery, a more or less wide frieze that runs along the walls. On the contrary, on a small surface, in addition to avoiding the patterns with the colors too present, choose rather a central and light drawing which will enlarge the volume. To highlight an interesting architectural detail, such as rounded or symmetrical angles, use these shapes to create a pattern that responds to the architecture. If the contours of your pattern seem too blurred, the stencil is not sufficiently adhered to the support and that the sprayed paint passes below. Place small weights on the stencil that will allow the cardboard to position itself properly.

Good to know

The spray is very practical when the support to be colored is very textured. The paint, projected through compressed air, interferes in all corners of the fabric with lightness, to form a pattern with almost aerial contours. Equipped with nozzles of different sizes, the Ecospray has a plastic cannula which allows you, with a little touch, to move from one cup to another to obtain shades that mix with flexibility.
